Romeo & Juliet - a theatre play William Shakespeare
The students of 2nd ESO read in class the world-wide known theatre play Romeo and Juliet, and they have been rehearsing the play in some lessons to perform it in front of the students of 6th grade of Primary. They have put on two performances, one by group A and another one by group B. Here you are some photos and a recording of both versions.

The students of first grade of ESO have been learning cooking vocabulary and watching some videos in their English lessons to learn how to cook healthy dishes. Here you are their tutorials for you to try.
Cooking Christmas deserts
The students of second grade of ESO have prepared some tutorials on how to make some desserts at Christmas, during their holidays time. We hope you like them!
2nd ESO - Romeo & Juliet performance
As you may know, a playwright’s aim is to get to see his or her Work performed on stage. That’s why in second grade , the students not only read and work on Shakespeare’s play “Romeo and Juliet”, but also learn some drama techniques, rehearse and perform it. They practice pronunciation, work as a team to be able to put on the play and in doing so they learn English in a more experiential, fun and colaborative way.
1st ESO - Let's get Cooking!
Before Easter, we watched some video tutorials in class on how to cook healthy dishes and the students worked on cooking vocabulary and expressions by doing online activities and writing their own recipes. At home, they cooked their favourite recipes andrecorded a video tutorial too. Here you can see three images of how to cook “healthy tacos”.

There are many ways to practice writing and telling stories apart from the course book writing activities. For example, putting in order stories written by previous year students. And of course, crerating their own.
2nd ESO - Student's critical thinking on the future of languages
Should the world speak just one language?
The population of the world has already thought of having just one language. The result was Esperanto. This language was created by Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof also known as Doktoro Esperanto who talked about an international language for the first time in 1881 in his book international language.
On the one hand, it is ideally a good option because it would make communication between people and countries easier. Nowadays, almost 2 million people speak it, and there is at least one speaker in 120 countries. Esperanto also has a culture, so you would learn more than just a language.
However, when it comes to truth it’s almost impossible, people aren’t just going to stop speaking the language they grew up with and it’s really difficult that everyone learns a new language. On top of that, languages always evolve, so people would end up speaking different versions of Esperanto in different places.
In conclusion, I think it’s a great idea but impossible to bring it to real life.

Will Chinese be the language of the future?
In my opinion, that’s not true because there are other languages that have more probability to become global and widely spoken.
One of the reasons why I disagree is that Chinese is only spoken in a few places, although it has so many speakers! However, Chinese is not frequently learned in the majority of European and American countries.
In conclusion, how can the population of other countries learn a rare language and use it in a few years as their common one? It will probably be impossible.

2nd ESO - Student's critical thinking on how important English language is
IT IS ESSENTIAL TO LEARN ENGLISH IN TODAY’S WORLD
Since the 20th century the English language has become a universal language in the world. It isn’t the official language of many countries, but it is spoken all over the Earth. In our opinion, learning English is good to communicate with other people.
First of all, multilingualism is becoming more and more important. In addition to opening up employment opportunities, being able to speak a foreign language helps to make a real connection with people and to know more about diverse cultures, places and lifestyles. The more able you are, the better you can express yourself. However, we think that it is beautiful to keep other languages alive.

We are Álvaro and Martí today we are talking about how important English is.
Firstly, we think that English is so important because if you learn it you can speak in a lot of countries in the world and communicate with the people who live there. Studying English can help you get a job. English is the language of science, aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. With English you can also make more friends, and more contacts and you can also learn cultures from new countries. In conclusion, people want to learn English because it is the most powerful language in the world.
